Tansy is an artist and musician living and working in Southern Spain. She has exhibited across the UK and is now developing her practice and running a studio gallery – Nuestro Estudio – in Órgiva.
Her signature work is her soundscapes – she paints the unique waveforms of sounds that matter to people. From meaningful songs and cherished voice messages to grandchildren’s laughter and the sound of waves from important beaches, each piece turns something you can only hear into something you can see and hold onto.
Beyond soundscapes, Tansy works with industrial materials, glitter, and dead insects to create bold, arresting artwork that doesn’t quite fit the ‘fine art’ box. She also explores graphic design, digital hand drawing, and animation – often collaborating with other artists to bring their work to life visually.
When she’s not in the studio, Tansy can be found singing angry, political, feminist songs with her alternative/post-punk band ShowPony.
