Artmixture Collective collaboration between Emma Artmixture Collective collaboration between Emma Plunkett and Mix Amylo The Arrival is a three-minute piece of 4K video art by Emma Plunkett, with the soundtrack composed and recorded by Mix Amylo, mastered by Alan Lowles of Alchimia Musica, and the performance by Jennifer Nadia.EMMA:'Jennifer and I shot early in the morning, around the sweeping staircases of the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya on Montjuïc, taking advantage of the stillness of the city before the crowds arrived. Her character came alive in the setting — the long elevations allowing for her endless graceful descents.Back in the studio, I mixed the footage with my VJ software and played with it on my editing timeline, letting the piece reveal itself. It grew organically — one of those unplanned projects that eventually blossomed into something fully formed. I stripped back all unnecessary clips, so there’s just one other piece of footage of a wavy rope ladder type device that twirls in the background, I gave that clip different mirror effects and it keeps the video flowing. The story that emerged was a progression: from her running, to walking, to that small, cheeky jump at the end — a moment that feels like she arrives at herself. The working title was The Widow, but I let that go. I prefer the audience to read their own narratives into her presence — to decide who she is, what she has overcome and what she’s moving toward. Her mystery is part of the spell.'MIX:'When Emma sent me some raw footage of the girl walking down stairs, I immediately heard a dramatic triplet rhythm in my head, which ended up coming in on the powerful sections of the soundtrack. I wanted to write something epic and orchestral, with ebbs and flows and a real feeling of drama. Strings, horns, trombones, keyboard pads and voices all combine to build the tension with a catchy, thematic pattern, kettle drums add a theatrical element, and a strong drum loop ups the energy. After recording the track, I sent it to Alan Lowles from Alchimia Musica, who mastered it to add the final gleam and sheen to the sound..#videoart #collaborationbetweenartists #montjuïc

He studied the art of drawing and painting at the Gemeentelijke academie voor Beeldende Kunsten, Heusden-Zolder (Belgium) and Meester in de Grafische kunst at Provinciale Hogeschool Hasselt (Belgium).Passionate about inner experiences, colours and the healing power of beauty, he creates inspirational experiences throughout his works. He uses both traditional painting and digital/AI techniques.“All feelings and experiences have their place and function. I focus on positive experiences and the healing power of beauty. Expressed with bright and colourful hues, fluency, geometry and by creating order in chaos. Reinventing oneself and rebirth. Self-experience and self-development. These are the main themes in my work. The works are characterized by a variety in power. Most are eagerly expressive, almost explosive. Some are more stabilizing or even modest.I try to create a sentiment, enlighten the spirit and provide comfort for the soul.”Website : https://soulwatcher.art/

ETHEREAL ESCAPADE Excited to share this Artmixtur ETHEREAL ESCAPADE Excited to share this Artmixture collaboration between artist Emma Plunkett and composer Mix AmyloEmma:Ethereal is the word to describe a blissful summer moment filming my friend Nicola Blades wild swimming in a Catalonian river. She wasn’t just in the river; she became it — merging, commanding, relishing. The unity between her body and the raw nature was pure magic. This tiny piece of video art is an audio-visual collaboration with composer @MixAmylo, whose music drifts and deepens the sense of immersion.Mix:My music accompanying the beautiful visuals by Emma was made using fragments of violin, recorded in my studio in the summer by a friend, and building up the composition from those haunting phrases. Using just piano and voice, it became a simple, floating soundscape that seems to fit so well with the calming peacefulness of the video.Check out Emma's website where she has video stills available as large aluminium prints. https://www.emmaplunkett.art/art-blog/ethereal-escapade-video-art/#videoart #contemporaryart #etherealart #swimmingart #underwaterart #visualpoetry #mixamylo #barcelonaart #naturelover #riverart #cataloniariver #artmixture #catalunya #riera

AND THE RAIN CAME DOWN An Artmixture collaboratio AND THE RAIN CAME DOWN An Artmixture collaboration between Tansy (tansy is an artist), Moon and Mix.Tansy:'The origin story of ‘And The Rain Came Down’ begins during one of those biblical rain storms we get here in southern Spain. It was autumn a few years back and the rain didn’t stop for about 3 days. I was leaning on our window ledge looking out across the town just watching it fall and noticed the music that it was making as it fell on our neighbours' tin roof.I took a quick sound recording then put it through my spectrometer to get the waveform of the sound. It was both joyous and melancholy all at once. So, when I came to painting it I went with muted gold and bright blue glitter.I’m overjoyed that it sparked something in both Moon and Mix and that we’ve been able to collaborate on it! It’s wonderful seeing it from all the different angles.Moon:'In this collaboration I dove into Tansy's triptych and emerged through spandex, confused by the intense yellow (gold) the pouring rain morphed into buzzing bees and I disappeared completely. I came down in blue...Mix:I used Tansy's recording of the rain, and merged it with piano, electric piano and a couple of stranger sounds, one of which sounded a little like bees.. I tried to capture both the sadness and the joy of the painting and the idea, and the pulse of Moon's veiled movements with a repetitive phrase on the piano.....#artcollaborations #raininspain #pianosoundscape #movementexploration #creativecollective #soundwaveart #paintingmovementmusic

This Artmixture collaboration, WINDOWS OF OPPORTUN This Artmixture collaboration, WINDOWS OF OPPORTUNITY, started with Glen Ladegaard's painting, which inspired Moon to create a video montage of movement, and merge those layers with the artwork to create a dreamy effect. Mix Amylo then recorded the accompanying soundtrack.GLEN:In shifting tones of blue and white, a landscape of emotion unfolds. Between the veils of shadow and light, quiet windows appear — spaces inviting you to look within and discover what is ready to emergeMOON:With this collaboration Windows of Opportunity I wanted to merge with the painting, become one, exist within the windows, look into them, out of them, occupy the space. I played with silence looking for rhythms and possibilities. I recorded the video on a windy day and then sliced up the footage, mixing and remixing, jumping from spot to spot within the painting and playing with densities and transparencies.MIX:Watching the magical combination of Glen's beautiful painting and Moon's movement, I tried to create an ethereal soundscape, with quite a cold sound that reflects the blues and whites, but with a shimmer to represent the blowing of the wind.

FEATURED ARTMIXTURE ARTIST - ABI JAMESON Abi Jame FEATURED ARTMIXTURE ARTIST - ABI JAMESON Abi Jameson is a British contemporary painter living in France whose art lives in the space between clarity and chaos. After losing the majority of her sight in 2013, her perception shifted - and with it, her creative voice. Drawing on memory, intuition, and the blurred edges of vision, she creates layered works that speak to resilience, transformation, and the unseen forces that shape us.*Anyone with friends in the Bayonne area, southwest France, Abi has a solo exhibition next month, see poster*Her paintings, exhibited widely across Europe, are an evolving meditation on what it means to see, to feel, and to adapt. Whether through bold abstraction or delicate marks, each piece is an invitation to slow down and consider how perception and memory entwine.“I don’t see the world like I used to — but in many ways, that’s become a gift,” says Jameson.Check our her art here :https://www.abijamesonart.com/https://www.instagram.com/abijamesonart/https://www.facebook.com/AbiJamesonArthttps://twitter.com/abijamesonart

APRIL - a second Artmixture Collective collaborati APRIL - a second Artmixture Collective collaboration between Moon, Hélène Battaini and Mix Amylo.Hélène says :APRIL is part of the collection of the fragmented portraits.I made it in a public event, as a live painting performance. It was in April in a period that was full of hope and renew for me. I was feeling love and loved again. I was back on trusting the other and myself. I was feeling hope in the future and started to flourish again. It shows in the choice of colors that the passion came back to me by the essence of life.APRIL is one of my favorite fragmented portrait. It represents a beautiful period of my life where everything is possible and everything is happening in front of my eyes and I'm lucky enough to witness it.Moon says:With this collaboration with Mix and Hélène I received a piece of music from Mix that she created from a painting from Hélène. I listened to in loop over a few days, inviting and waiting for a response to come up from within me. No manipulation or force, just simple observation. An emotional response filtered into images, ideas, movement, a story, whatever was first to show itself. I felt a deep scurring movement, I saw a dark old forrest. Something hidden. And then the place came to me, a small patch of land with bushes and trees. I hung my camera in a few different spots, put the music on and started moving. (I had had an upsetting experience that same morning and I thought it was a good day to move, taking advantage of my altered state so I could tap into something that felt in line with the music, and I wore the same dress that I had been wearing all day.) I had’t seen the painting nor did I know the title, but I knew it must be a self portrait, so I recorded footage of my face behind leaves. After doing the major part of the editing I then needed to get the painting and title so I could incorporate them into the final video. I felt a jolt when I saw the painting, the paint strokes looked like leaves over a face! I chose a filter from the limited supply in the simple editing program I use to merge the video texture into the painting and created this movement study. A very satisfying and joyful experience.
An Artmixture collective collaboration between Moo An Artmixture collective collaboration between Moon (dancer), Hélène Battaini (painter) and Mix Amylo (composer).Moon took her inspiration for the movement in her video from the painting 'Fragmented' by Hélène, and once the visuals were done, she sent the video to Mix, who created the soundtrack for the piece.Words by Moon about her video:'This is my first collaboration with the Artmixture Collective. Hélène sent me an image of her self portrait painting Fragmented. I printed it and put it up on my desk in my studio and over the course of a few days I sat and started at it. Emptying and opening my mind and body...then one morning I set up a make shift "tripod" in my living room, put the image of the painting at its base and made a video of myself improvising as I looked at the image. I edited the result to about a minute and created what I call a movement study and then sent the video to Mix so she could create the music to add to it. She sent me the soundtrack and without listening to it first, I played it while watching the movement study at the same time...a very magical thrilling and fabulous experience!'Words by Hélène about her painting:'It took me years and years to understand. When I look at few of my work now I understand better. When they visit my studio people usually think there are many artists and not just one, me.Now I realize I'm fragmented.I don't know if it's my mind, my personality, my soul, my identity. But that is what it is, fragmented.I'm in pieces and it shows. It's loud and clear. As I succeed to identify the fragmentation coming out of different works I decided to dig in it and work on expressing the fragmentation of myself in shape of portraits, that I usually don't do.It is very much about acceptance. I will always be fragmented because of my life experiences but I can find it beautiful as far as I still express myself with colours and the will of communication.
