About the Artmixture Collective
Artmixture Collective was set up in late spring 2025 by musician, artist and writer Mix Amylo. Her idea was to make a tribe, an international collaborative group of creative people who cross-pollinate their ideas to make projects happen, produce works of art, and inspire and support each other. Sometimes it’s a solitary business being an artist, and this is a way to feel part of something.
Artmixture includes musicians, visual artists, poets, dancers, composers, photographers and a puppeteer, of eleven different nationalities and living in ten different countries.
The collaborations so far have included movement and music inspired by paintings, art videos with other-worldly soundscapes, a song recorded to a painter’s showreel, and a poet filmed dancing to her words with a piano soundtrack. These short, digital works are perfect for connecting artists who would never have worked together without the collective. The aim is also to create real-life events, showcasing the members of the group with a mixture of live performance and projections of the filmed collaborations.
There’s also a book of haiku poems in the pipeline, and an album of songs and instrumentals.
